Eaton House Belgravia - Autumn Term 2025 Review

The boys at Eaton House have made a brilliant start to debating this academic year.

We have reviewed key public speaking skills from body language to proposition building blocks and extended answers across debating and interview formats.

In our first few sessions we covered a range of different topics from ‘whether all schools should have a uniform’, to ‘whether art is more important than sport’ and debated the motion ‘this house thinks that strikes on essential services such as the tube should not be allowed’. The students participated with excitement and have also brought news to the sessions to share with their classmates from the realms of politics to sport and ranging from global to local news. We have a number of returning students to our debating club from last year, leading by example and utilising many of the debating skills in their speeches whilst the new students are quickly growing in confidence in their public speaking.

Well done all!
