For this special workshop we began by focussing on exam technique before exploring source analysis. Looking initially at the Armada Portrait students discussed the composition, scale and history of the work (with this dramatic depiction of Elizabeth I - Gloriana) before moving onto Michelangelo's David with a similar method. We then examined the Eiffel tower and a speech made by Greta Thunberg and the ways in which she made her dialogue compelling. As ever we included a debate as part of our workshop, this time on the topic of whether painting or sculpture had greater impact, before looking at an installation by Cornelia Parker.
Well done all for the concentration, questions and focus shown.
