With so many interviews around the corner for our members, we held a further Interview Workshop. As with previous sessions, this functioned as both a standalone zoom, but also a follow-up to those of last term. It was an excellent group setting and important for group assessments/interviews and also zoom interviews that are frequently part of the process (not least with Wellington College). It also made for a challenging session for those keen to work on their analytical skills - with so many unseen examples to tackle. We were again very impressed with the contributions from the group, their concentration, attention to detail and the speed with which they took on new points/guidance.
On unseen work, we covered:
Extracts from Agatha Christie & Machiavelli
Paintings including coronation portraits of Elizabeth I and Elizabeth II
Image prompts from Greenland
Image of the animal war memorial in London, 'they had no choice'
In addition we looked at:
(i) Core questions, including current reading book - NB always remember author's name(ii) Debating/philosophical questions: 'Should we only eat food produced in Britain?' / the value of languages and 'if you could take up a new language what would it be and why?'
(iii) Questions at the end of the interview for the interviewer.
Very well done all.
